I’m not a poet, and now you’ll know it

I ran across a fun Friday meme which involves creating a limerick with a particular starting line, in this case “A man who was terribly vain.” I’ve never written a limerick before, so please bear that in mind!

My Limerick

A man who was terribly vain

Refused to go out in the rain.

His hair would go “pouf!”

He could not stay aloof.

So he phoned work and illness did feign!

Why don’t you give it a try?

  1. I did on your FB post! Oh, OK, here it is:

A man who was terribly vain
Had a meltdown over his ascot’s stain.
    He ripped it in half
    Then consumed a carafe
And stepped before an oncoming train.

  2. That’s great! I loved studying poetry when I was in college. Baudelaire has got nothing on us!:D
